Scams to Avoid: Fake Agents on Telegram and Facebook

A casino cashier is a page inside a website. It is never a person in your inbox. Fake agents exist to blur that line, and they are the most common way players in the Philippines lose money before reaching any real operator. KUBRAPLUS is an independent guide, not a casino. It takes no deposits, runs no games and has no agents on any platform. For readers 21+.

What a fake agent looks like

The profile uses an operator's logo and a name such as 'Official CS', 'Finance' or 'VIP Manager'. On Facebook it may be a page with purchased followers, or an account that comments under the operator's real posts. On Telegram it is often a channel with a pinned 'verification' message and a linked private account. Replies are fast, friendly and available at all hours. The profile's age, follower count and badge-like emoji are decoration and prove nothing.

Fake agents also recruit through people you know. A friend's hacked or borrowed account forwards the 'agent' contact with a personal recommendation, or a group you already belong to is taken over and renamed. A familiar name attached to the message makes it more dangerous, and the contact is no more official for it.

How the approach unfolds

  1. Contact. You are messaged first, or you reply to a post offering faster cash-in, a higher bonus or help with a stuck withdrawal.
  2. Trust. The agent sends screenshots of 'successful payouts' and may complete one small transaction to seem reliable.
  3. The ask. You are given a personal GCash, Maya or bank account for deposits, or a link to 'log in', or a request for your OTP.
  4. Escalation. A problem appears that only a further payment can solve.
  5. Exit. The account blocks you, or the channel is deleted and reappears under a new name.

Claims and replies

Checks that take one minute

  • Open the operator's site from an address you typed and read its contact page. If the Telegram or Facebook account is not listed there, it is not official.
  • Look at the payment destination. A named individual or a mobile number means it is not a cashier.
  • Ask yourself who made first contact. Operators do not privately message strangers to offer deposits.
  • Check the operator's company on PAGCOR's published list. An agent's word about licensing is worthless.

Cloned websites. The agent's link leads to a copy of the lobby at a near-identical address, where deposits vanish and balances are invented.

Release fees. A withdrawal is said to be ready once you pay tax or a clearance fee. Genuine withdrawals are paid from your balance without advance payments to anyone.

Fake promo codes. A code is sold or 'activated' by a transfer to the agent. Real codes are free and are entered in your account.

Predictor tools. The agent offers an app that forecasts results. Outcomes are generated on the game provider's server and cannot be read by any outside tool.

Real KYC and what it never requests

Fake agents frequently ask for ID 'to open your account'. A licensed operator's verification takes place through an upload form inside your logged-in account. It requests a government ID, sometimes a selfie and sometimes proof of your payment account. It never requests an OTP, an MPIN, a bank password, a card security code, a fee, screen sharing or documents sent through Telegram or Messenger.

If you have dealt with one

  1. Stop sending money or information.
  2. Report any transfer through your e-wallet's in-app help centre immediately.
  3. Change your casino, email and wallet passwords if you entered them anywhere the agent sent you.
  4. Save the profile link, messages, account numbers and screenshots.
  5. Report the profile to Facebook or Telegram.
  6. Inform the real operator through its in-site support so it can warn others.

Escalation

  1. The operator's own support, inside the site you typed yourself.
  2. The e-wallet's in-app helpline or help centre, never a number someone sends you.
  3. PAGCOR's published complaint channel on its official website, where a Philippine licence is claimed.
  4. The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group or the NBI Cybercrime Division. Scam reports can also go to the CICC's Inter-Agency Response Center on hotline 1326.

KUBRAPLUS has no agents and cannot intervene, trace or refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a Telegram agent is official?

Check the operator's contact page on its own domain. If the Telegram account is not listed there, treat it as fake.

Is it safe to deposit through an agent's GCash number?

No. A personal number is an individual's wallet. Deposits should be made only through the cashier inside the operator's site.

The agent did pay out my first small withdrawal. Does that prove they are real?

No. A small payout is a common trust-building step before a larger request.

Does KUBRAPLUS have agents on Facebook or Telegram?

No. This is an independent guide. It has no agents, takes no deposits and runs no games.

Where do I report a fake agent?

Report the profile on the platform, the transfer to your e-wallet's in-app help, and the fraud to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group or NBI Cybercrime Division.
